Jaén's traditional dress

Thinking about Jaen’s traditional dress should evoke the flavour of past times when time appears to have frozen on folkloric life styles.

Unfortunately, those traditional signs of identity are being forgotten, leaving a trail of colour and melancholy and are losing their functionality over time.

We are talking about fashion which had a symbolic significance and was very representative of our city. Those styles of clothes were born in 18th century in light of fashion patterns of high society. Little by little popular classes achieve these costumes, so it is very difficult to recognize their bourgeoisie origin.
