WHERE IS JAÉN?

Jaen is one of the eight capitals of Andalusia. It is located in the north of Autonomous Andalusian Community. It is bordered with the Castilian plateau. At the north it borders Ciudad Real and Albacete, at the south and east it borders Granada and westward it borders Cordoba. The city of Jaén is located in the centre of the south-western area of the province. Jaén borders the towns of La Guardia, Torredelcampo, Fuerte del Rey, Los Villares and Mancha Real

THREE DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET TO JAÉN

You can get to the city by rail, by plane from Granada-Jaen’s airport or through a heavy road network, including the Olivar highway and A-44 that connects the capital with Bailén and Granada.

BY PLANE

Jaén is located one hundred kilometres from Granada - Jaén Federico Garcia Lorca’s Airport; it has a daily shuttle - bus service between Jaén and the airport. Granada - Jaén Airport connects the two cities with the most important capitals of Spain and also with some Europeans destinations.

URBAN BUSES

The urban buses can be taken from 7.00 h a.m. until 23.00 and connect the different neighborhoods of the city. There are about twenty lines and their main stops: La Libertad square at the bus station.

BUS STATION

Jaén has wide range of possibilities of travelling by bus. The bus station connects Jaén with Andalusia, Madrid and other important Spanish and Europeans cities. The city offers a great variety of bus itineraries within the whole city and the 97 municipalities of the province.

BY TRAIN

Jaén is linked to Andalusia and Madrid through daily rail services. In the future the station will connect the high speed line, AVE, that will run between Jaen’s capital and Madrid through Alcázar de San Juan. It could also connect other Andalucian cities by high speed rails soon too.
